In the first week of each month, a mass exercise session involving the entire academic community will be held; the second week will feature jogging and recreational cycling; the third week will focus on unit-level exercise activities; the fourth week will host a Fun Match at the Unram Sports Center; and the fifth week will conclude with the Unram Fun Run.

The implementation of the program will be adjusted to the number of weeks in each month. The activities are also open to the general public.

The inaugural Unram Move activity this week featured a group jogging and cycling session. According to the Head of the Bureau of Finance and General Affairs (BKU), H. Aman, S.P., M.M., Unram has provided 100 units of electric bicycles, with plans to increase the number in response to growing enthusiasm from both the academic community and the public.

“It turns out that the enthusiasm from our academic community is very high, so we will increase the number next month. This week, we have also prepared door prizes for participants who join the walk or cycling activities. We plan to provide door prizes every two months,” he stated.

The 11th Rector of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd., emphasized that the Unram Move Program is not only aimed at maintaining health but also serves as a collective movement aligned with government policies and social needs within the campus environment.

He noted that the cycling activity also supports the Mataram City Government’s initiative to promote a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.

“I saw the Mayor’s appeal encouraging cycling, so we are supporting it. Earlier, I also cycled from home, and moving forward, we will try to do this every Friday,” he said.

In addition, he highlighted that the program aligns with national government directives on energy conservation, particularly for civil servants.

“As public servants, we are also following the government’s directive to save energy. Activities like this bring multiple benefits at once,” he added.

Furthermore, Prof. Sukardi stressed that the Unram Move Program is part of the university’s policy to promote a healthy lifestyle while strengthening togetherness within the academic community.

“We want to transform exercise into a collective movement. It’s not just about health, but also about building togetherness, solidarity, and discipline. These are the values we aim to uphold,” he explained.

Through this program, Unram not only encourages a healthier lifestyle but also creates a space for closer interaction between the academic community and the public in a relaxed yet meaningful atmosphere.

Mataram, University of Mataram — On Friday, April 10, 2026, the University of Mataram (Unram) officially launched the Unram Move Program under the theme “Move, Make an Impact!” The program was initiated by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd., as part of efforts to promote health and fitness among university staff while also fostering closer engagement with the community.
