KUBINOV LPPM Unram Participates in Gelehgar Khazanah Ramadhan Activities in 2024
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Business and Innovation Incubator (KUBINOV) of the Research and Community Service Institute of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) was present and participated in the Gelegar Khazanah Ramadhan activity organised by the NTB Provincial Trade Office in the West Nusa Tenggara Islamic Center area on Monday (18/2).
Unram as one of the Centres of Excelent in West Nusa Tenggara also took part in exhibiting the products of Unram’s Research Innovation and Community Service which not only came from lecturers but also students and alumni who were incorporated as tenants under the guidance of the Unram Business and Innovation Incubator (KUBINOV).
During her visit to the Unram Innovation Product stand, the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Trade Office, Baiq Nelly Yuniarti, AP, M.Si. said, “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy that the KUBINOV University of Mataram tenant products can be present and participate in enlivening the Gelegar Khazanah Ramadhan event.”
Furthermore, she emphasised that, “The University of Mataram through KUBINOV consistently presents products from research and service carried out by lecturers, students and UNRAM alumni which are very innovative and are expected to be born into cool companies that are ready to compete”.
Business incubators have a role in helping downstream the products of research and community service carried out by students, lecturers and alumni. This concept is very relevant to be implemented in the present. Therefore, the direction and development of business incubators are aimed at helping downstream research products and community service in higher education.
One of the products present in this exhibition is Mukena Tenun Sasak Ecoprint or Muktesa-Ecoprint which is an innovation from plant leaves into natural dyes that are collaborated with Sasak woven fabrics of Sukarara Village for the manufacture of various fashion products. The products made come from fabrics with plant motifs that are sewn into mukena and dyed using the ecoprint method.
The mukena products are also equipped with prayer mats, bags, and masks. Marketing of ecoprint products will be carried out with a digital marketing system where products will be marketed online to make it easier for tourists to obtain ecoprint products and also direct sales.
Dr. Didy Ika Supryadi, SE, MM, as Head of the KUBINOV Centre LPPM Unram in his presentation revealed, “I am very happy and grateful to the provincial government, especially the trade department because KUBINOV is given space to introduce the products of its fostered tenants. This collaborative synergy between academics, government and the business world will certainly be able to increase the motivation of students and lecturers to commercialise the results of their research and innovation.”
This young lecturer of the Faculty of Economics and Business also confirmed his commitment, “In the future I hope that activities like this must be carried out frequently by stakeholders to introduce and provide opportunities for our local products that are actually innovative and have competitiveness and KUBINOV Unram will be present with new innovations.”
