Mataram, University of Mataram — Universitas Bima Internasional MFH Mataram hosted the 2026 Nusa Tenggara Barat (NTB) Regional Student Arts Week (Peksimida), a prestigious event that brought together talented student artists from universities across the province. The event officially concluded on Friday, July 17, 2026, at Universitas Bima Internasional MFH.

The closing ceremony was officiated by the Head of the NTB Provincial Department of Culture, Muhammad Ihwan, S.Sos., M.Si., who expressed his highest appreciation to the academic community, judges, and participating students for their dedication and outstanding performances throughout the competition.

“We often forget—or even struggle—to appreciate and recognize achievements. In fact, no matter how small an achievement may be, it deserves our appreciation. The performances delivered by the students from the opening day until today’s closing ceremony have been truly remarkable and highly professional,” he said.

The Head of the Provincial Department of Culture also emphasized the importance of preserving regional cultural identity through events such as Peksimida. According to him, the diversity of traditional attire and cultural dialects from various regions of NTB—including Lombok, Sumbawa, Bima, and others—serves as a vital pillar in strengthening Indonesia’s cultural identity on the international stage.

The excitement of the closing ceremony reached its peak with the announcement of the competition winners. Among the various categories contested, the delegation from the University of Mataram (Unram) achieved outstanding results by securing multiple championship titles.

Several Unram students earned top honors, further demonstrating the university’s strong artistic talent at the regional level. These remarkable achievements not only reinforce Unram’s reputation as one of NTB’s leading institutions for artistic excellence but also secure the winners’ opportunity to represent Nusa Tenggara Barat Province at the upcoming National Student Arts Week (Peksiminas).

The ceremony concluded on a high note with the presentation of certificates to the winners, greeted with enthusiastic applause from the audience. Peksimida NTB 2026 proved to be more than just a competition; it served as an important platform for preserving the region’s cultural heritage while celebrating the creativity and artistic achievements of the younger generation.
