Mataram, University of Mataram — Universitas Bima Internasional MFH conducted a benchmarking visit to the University of Mataram (Unram) on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at the University Rectorate Meeting Room. The visit was attended by Unram’s Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, the Rector of Universitas Bima Internasional MFH and her delegation, the Head of Academic Affairs, and the Heads of Centers under Unram’s Institute for Educational Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP).

During the visit, representatives from Unram’s LPMPP presented the university’s commitment to internationalization through a range of strategic initiatives. In addition to attracting international students, Unram is actively encouraging its own students and lecturers to participate in international academic programs and global engagement activities.

In her remarks, Dr. Sitti Latifah, S.Hut., M.Sc.Forest.Trop., Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, outlined several supporting schemes, including international scholarships, tuition fee (UKT) waivers and accommodation support for short-course participants, as well as dedicated funding for student and lecturer mobility programs.

“For international accreditation, one of the key indicators is not merely the number of international students coming to our university, but also how many of our students and lecturers participate in overseas academic activities. This demonstrates that internationalization at the study program level is truly active and sustainable. Therefore, Unram consistently allocates funding for student mobility while also developing flexible schemes to support lecturer mobility,” she explained.

In addition to discussing international classes, the benchmarking visit also explored Unram’s innovative management of the Compulsory General Education Courses (MKWK), which are centrally coordinated by LPMPP. Unram shared its experience in managing eight university-wide compulsory courses, including Pancasila, Citizenship Education, Indonesian Language, Religious Education, and the university’s distinctive Archipelagic Ecosystems course, all of which now implement project-based learning.

The adoption of project-based learning has not only enhanced multidisciplinary student engagement from the early semesters but has also culminated in student project exhibitions and national-level character education festivals.

Meanwhile, Dr. apt. Ajeng Dian Pertiwi, M.Farm., Rector of Universitas Bima Internasional MFH, expressed her sincere appreciation for Unram’s openness in sharing its best practices and institutional management strategies related to quality assurance and international education.

Unram’s experience in developing international mobility programs, preparing for ASIIN and AQAS accreditation, and implementing a project-based curriculum provides invaluable insights for our institution. Universitas Bima Internasional MFH is committed to adapting these strategic initiatives to strengthen the foundation of our international class programs in the future,” she said.

The program continued with presentations by the Heads of Centers within Unram’s LPMPP, who provided in-depth insights into various aspects of higher education management, followed by an interactive discussion and question-and-answer session.

The benchmarking visit concluded with a shared commitment to maintain close communication and explore future opportunities for collaboration. As a symbol of partnership and mutual respect, the event ended with a souvenir exchange and a group photo session involving university leaders and all participants.
