Director of the Executive Board of BAN-PT, Director of HR of PT. Kimia Farma, and Professor of Faperta Gave a Scientific Oration at the Peak of the 60th Anniversary of Unram
Mataram, Universitas Mataram – The Senate of Universitas Mataram (Unram) held an Open Meeting of the Senate in commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Unram in the Senate Session Room, Rectorate of Unram on Monday (3/9). The Unram Senate Open Meeting was themed “Unram Serialized and Innovated in Realizing an Independent Learning Campus” and was held offline and online through the Mataram University Youtube channel, and was attended by the Rector, Deputy Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Province, Director of the Executive Board of the National Accreditation Board-Higher Education (BAN-PT), HR Director of PT. Kimia Farma, Chairman and Secretary of the Senate, and unram leadership.
Prof. Agil Al Idrus, M.Si. as the Chairman of the Unram Senate opened and presided over the Senate Open Meeting. Continued with the speech of the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. who mentioned Unram’s achievements in achieving its vision of becoming a research-based and internationally competitive higher education institution in 2025.
“To achieve this goal, Unram has carried out a higher education process with national quality standards, based on strong research to produce quality human resources, carry out community service activities, and build national and international cooperation networks, implement good financial and administrative asset governance, efficient, effective, transparent and accountable,” said Prof. Bambang.
The Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unram, also explained that the commemoration of the 60th Anniversary of Unram is a checkpoint to evaluate yourself by seeing where the shortcomings that need improvement are and where the advantages are located that continue to be maintained and improved.
“Let us both straighten our intentions, strengthen our hearts and hold on tighter to maintain the integrity and unity of Unram to achieve the vision and mission that has been set,” he concluded.
Furthermore, the Deputy Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Province (Deputy Governor Prov. NTB), Dr. Ir. Hj. Sitti Rohmi Djalilah, M.Pd. in his speech also appreciated Unram’s contribution to the development of NTB and Indonesia.
“We cannot deny the achievements achieved by the University of Mataram. So the hard work that has been shown by the University of Mataram is certainly very meaningful for development, especially in NTB,” said Ummi Rohmi, the nickname of the Deputy Governor of Prov. NTB.
He explained that there are 3 indicators of the Human Development Index (HDI) in NTB, namely health indicators, education level, and economy. Where at this time NTB has shown acceleration, related to the average number of school years, it is conveyed that the contribution from Unram and all universities in NTB has made a major contribution. Ummi Rohmi also hopes that Unram will be more qualified every day and produce the best graduates, producing qualified health workers where the Faculty of Medicine of Unram is currently accredited A.
“We certainly have to be proud of the achievements. Being proud doesn’t mean for us, but how we’re getting excited to keep doing our best to make our work measurable. So that is what we want for the quality of human resources in West Nusa Tenggara from time to time is getting better,” said Ummi Rohmi.
The core event of the Unram Senate Open Meeting was filled with the delivery of scientific orations by Prof. Ir. Ari Purbayanto, M.Sc., Director of the Executive Board of BAN-PT; Dharma Syahputra, HR Director of PT. Kimia Farma Tbk; and Prof. Ir. L. Wirasapta Karyadi, M.Si., Permanent Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture, Unram. And continued with the awarding of award certificates to outstanding lecturers and lecturers who have completed Specialist and Doctoral Program Education.
At the end of the event, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Unram and PT. Kimia Farma Tbk, and the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) consisting of the departments of Accounting, Management, and Economics of Development Studies (IESP); Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP); and Faculty of Engineering with Pt. Kimia Farma Tbk.
