About

Founded on October 1, 1962, under the Ministerial Decree PTIP No. 139/1962, Universitas Mataram began its journey to address the critical need for higher education in West Nusa Tenggara. Starting from humble beginnings with the Faculty of Economics as its pioneer, Unram steadily advanced through an era of massive expansion, establishing various faculties in science, engineering, and medicine to meet evolving global demands. Today, after more than six decades, Unram has transformed into a mature institution with dozens of study programs and thousands of alumni, firmly securing its position not just as a regional educational hub, but as a driving force for innovation that delivers real, lasting impact to society.
