The university of Mataram Signed MoU and IA with Indonesia-Australia Red Meat and Cattle Partnership
Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and Implementation of Agreement (IA) with Indonesia – Australia Red Meat & Cattle Partnership (RMCP) on Thursday, July 20, 2023 in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate.
The signing of the MoU was carried out by the Rector of University of Mataram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. and Stuart McAdam as the Team Leader, Advisory and Support Group, Indonesia – Australia RMCP, Coffey International. Meanwhile, the IA was signed by the Head of the Office of International Affairs Unram, Prof. Ir. Dahlanuddin, M.Rur.Sc., Ph.D. and Petrus Widyantoro, one of the Program Manager of Indonesia – Australia RMCP.
Prof. Bambang said that the cooperation carried out was engaged in supervising vaccination support programs and identifying livestock through mobile flip-flops. He also wants to establish joint research collaborations in the future with Indonesia-Australia RMCP.
“This is one of our goals to do research collaboration because we have started to conduct research and implementation, especially on Lamtoro Beef, “said Prof. Bambang.
Unram always welcomed his guests with Lamtoro Beef dishes with the aim of promoting Lamtoro Beef to the world. The Lamtoro Beef has been researched by the Faculty of Animal Science Unram and Prof. Dahlan, Chairman of the Office of International Affairs Unram since 2011, and with this cooperation, it is expected to improve the quality of the product.
The Professor of Faculty of Agriculture Unram also hopes that the collaboration can be continued by faculties to study programs.
“This cooperation will be more valuable when there is implementation, so this MoU needs to be continued also at the faculty and study program levels,” he said.
The event also discussed the potential for further collaboration between Unram and Indonesia-Australia RMCP.
