Mataram, Mataram University – Mataram University (Unram) received a visit from a team from the Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) on Thursday (3/8) in the Rector’s Meeting Room, Second Floor of the Rector’s Building.
The visit was to initiate a research collaboration between Unram and ITDC.
The Rector of University of Mataram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., said that ITDC really has to be concerned with the surrounding community.
“If we look at the people around ITDC Mandalika, such as farmers and breeders. We can do research to help farmers there to fertilize their land, because most of the land there is dry land,” said the Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture.
According to the perspective of Unram researchers, the stretch of dry land for the people of South Lombok has not been used optimally.
For this reason, Unram provides many research offers that are ready to be carried out by Unram researchers in the development of Indonesian tourism, especially NTB.
Meanwhile, the Director of ITDC, Ari Respati said that he had a great desire to collaborate with the University of Mataram.
“We really want to do a partnership with Unram, also research of how to improve people’s welfare patterns,” he said.
