The University of Mataram Promotes International Cooperation with NUS through the Eco-Tourism Summer Week Program
Mataram, the University of Mataram – The Office of International Affairs Unram (OIA Unram) and the Communication Studies program visited the National University of Singapore (NUS) to discuss a collaborative program. The meeting was held on 15th and 16th of August 2023 in Singapore.
The visit was attended by Dr. Dewi Satria Elmiana, M.Pd. and Aurelius Rofinus Lolong Teluma, M.A. (the representative from Communication Study Program). And from NUS, the Vice Dean of Academic Affairs from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP), Jamie Tai (Senior Manager) and Ching Siang (Manager of Global Relations Office NUS) attended.
The cooperation program offered is the Eco-tourism Summer Week program, which is planned to take place in July 2024 with a duration of two weeks. And to realize this program, in the future Unram and NUS will soon sign an MoU (Memorandum of Understanding).
“Unram organizes Eco-tourism Summer Week with the aim of providing opportunities for international students to experience natural areas and cultures that preserve the environment and support the welfare of the local community,” said Dewi as Secretary of the Unram KUI.
Dewi also added several activities included in the Summer Week Eco-tourism program, such as community development visits, summer projects, cultural events, and biodiversity and natural insights.
In addition, the visit was continued to Skilio, Singapore to sign an MoU on Paid Remote Internship at Singapore companies.
