Mataram, the University of Mataram – The Rector of the University of Mataram (Unram) officially inaugurated Dr. Rahadi Wirawan, S.Sc., M.Si As the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) for the 2023 – 2027 period. The inauguration was held on Tuesday, 29th of August 2023 in the Senate Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate.

In that inauguration, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D said that being a dean or whatever is a mandate that will be held accountable, demanded to do their best, and those concerned try to carry out the mandate as well as possible.

“I advise the newly appointed officials to carry out their duties and obligations well for the progress of Unram. Especially for the Dean, the work ahead will certainly be increasingly difficult. “Please carry out this mandate as well as possible,” stressed Prof. Bambang.

Furthermore, he reminded the dean and his staff to continue to improve the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) which contain Unram’s achievements so far. Apart from that, research performance is measured not only by journals but also by the number of citations and innovations.

“That is why, there is no other choice, the dean’s job is how to create conducive academic conditions, how to stimulate, to encourage all lecturers to actively participate,” he explained.

Lastly, Prof. Bambang hopes that the future challenges will be the determination of all Unram leaders and the entire Unram community to participate together and work hand in hand in solving these challenges.
