The International Affairs Office Provided Training for 40 IISMA Program.
Mataram, the University of Mataram – the International Affairs Office Unram held an internal selection for the 2024 MBKM Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) program, and selected 40 people to be given a Coaching Clinic or training on Monday (4/9) .
IISMA is a program from the Indonesian government to provide opportunities for Indonesian students to take part in international mobility programs to the world’s best universities for 1st semester.
The training provided soft skill training, English, and essay writing. The presenter was Haryadi S., MA Tesol (Awardee Australia Awards Scholarship) with material related to tips and tricks for the English test; Lale Justin Amelinda Elizar, M.Psi. (UPT. Counseling Guidance and Career Development) delivered material on tips and tricks for answering interviews; and finally the scholarship essay writing material was explained by Soni Ariawan, S.Pd., M.Ed. (Awardee LPDP Scholarship).
The Coaching Clinic which was held in the Senate Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate was also attended by the Head of International Affairs Office, Prof. Ir. Dahlanuddin, M.Rur.Sc., Ph.D.; IOA Secretary, Dr. Dewi Satria Elmiana, S.Pd., M.Pd.; and with the IOA Coordinator and Staff.
Dr. Dewi said that several preparations that IISMA participants will carry out are English language tests and training which will take place from October to December, then continued with the selection and sending of IISMA scholarship recipients to their destination campuses from December to January 2024.
“We hope that with the internal selection and 40 registered participants, we can increase the number of IISMA scholarship recipients from Unram in 2024. And we hope that you can absorb as much knowledge as possible abroad so that you can apply it again when you return to Indonesia,” said Dr. Dewi.
