Mataram, the University of Mataram – the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram) collaborated with PT Pegadaian in inaugurating The Gade Creative Lounge (TGCL) on Thursday (14/9) at the FEB Unram Main Building, 1st Floor.

TGLC is the result of Unram’s collaboration with PT Pegadaian. It is intended to provide a platform for accelerating potential for the entire academic community who want to develop their capacity and capability in developing creativity, productivity, innovation, and exploring the potential of the younger generation.
This lounge was designed with coworking space concept, it was established as a forum for the creation of creative ideas and brilliant innovations from students. The facilities provided consist of an outdoor discussion area, private discussion room, presentation room, disability room, computer facilities and MSME product showcase.

The TGCL inauguration procession was carried out with a digital signing and ribbon cutting by the Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. and the Pegadaian Directors – Director of Network, Operations and Sales of PT Pegadaian, Eka Pebriansyah.

At the inauguration, the Governor of West Nusa Tenggara Province, namely Dr. H. Aidy Furqan, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Province Education and Culture Service; the event were also present by Supriyanto, the Head of Region VII Denpasar PT Pegadaian; Rully Yusuf, the Head of Social and Environmental Responsibility Division of PT Pegadaian; Nuril Islamiah, Regional Head of Regional Office XI Semarang PT Pegadaian; Dr. Ihsan Rois, S.T., M.Si., the Dean of FEB Unram; as well as the lecturers and the students of FEB Unram.

The Unram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. in his speech expressed his gratitude for PT Pegadaian’s CSR or social responsibility support in building TGCL at FEB Unram. With the existence of TGLC, the Unram Rector hopes that students can use it actively in discussions to generate creative ideas.

“Please use this lounge for various activities. It can be used for learning, training, discussions, presentations, and so on. “There are many things you can do in this lounge,” explained the Rector
of Unram.

Eka Pebriansyah as Director of Network, Operations and Sales at PT Pegadaian also stated that the establishment of TGCL in Unram was the first development in the eastern region of Indonesia. And in the future, PT Pegadaian is also committed to conduct development after the establishment of TGCL.

“We want what we provide to be not only physical, after we inaugurate this year we will also carry out The Gade Sociopreneurship Challenge activities. Where later we will hold an inter-campus competition to create creative ideas. Apart from that, there is also The Gade Preneur, there will be guidance for MSMEs from both the general public and campus. We will provide, accompany and continue to guide.” said Eka.

The TGCL inauguration event was also combined with a talk show with the theme “Leading the Future: Understanding the Generational Spectrum” by Nuril Islamiah as Regional Head of PT Pegadaian’s Semarang Region XI Office and Saepul Arni Muhsyaf, S.E., M.M., Ph.D. as Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance FEB Unram.
