The 61st Anniversary Series, Unram Held Social Service

Mataram, the University of Mataram– In a series of activities for the 61st Anniversary of the University of Mataram (Unram), the Faculty of Medicine, Unram and the Faculty of Law collaborated to carry out social service activities. This social service activity is divided into two implementation times in the second and third weeks of October.

The first activity at the beginning of October was held on the ground floor of the Rectorate Building and targeted the entire Unram academic community. Its activities include blood donation activities which succeeded in collecting more than 75 voluntary donors. The other activities include health education, education on preventing sexual violence on campus, and health checks by specialist doctors.

The second activity was carried out on 14th of October 2023 at the Meninting Community Health Center, West Lombok Regency. This activity has an external target, namely the general public. The activities were also quite varied, including: health education, general health checks, health checks by specialist doctors, and legal consultations.

The people who came were very excited and enthusiastic because examinations from various specialist doctors were rarely carried out at community health centers, including: obstetrician, eye specialist, internal medicine specialist, heart specialist, pediatric specialist, and ENT specialist. The public can also take advantage of this opportunity to check their blood sugar, uric acid and cholesterol and even have an ultrasound examination for free. More than 120 patients were recorded who took advantage of this opportunity. Apart from that, in the social service at the Meninting Community Health Center, a circumcision service was also carried out which was attended by 9 children.

By holding social service activities that are beneficial for the internal community and external community at large, it is hoped that it can further strengthen the existence of the University of Mataram in its 61st year. Unram Jaya!
