Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held Eid al-Adha prayers with the entire academic community and the local community on Monday, June 17, 2024. This event took place solemnly in the Unram Rectorate field. The Eid al-Adha prayer was led by Ustadz Abdul Wahab, S.Pd.I with Khatib Eid al-Adha, Prof. Dr. Ir. Lalu Wiresapta Karyadi, M.Si. who gave an insight into the meaning of sacrifice.

Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. expressed his gratitude in his speech, “Alhamdulillah, from year to year there are more and more people who attend Eid al-Adha prayers and Eid al-Fitr prayers at the University of Mataram. Eid al-Adha teaches us to obey Allah SWT, as told about Prophet Ibrahim. It is our obedience that will be judged by Allah, and in piety there is the wisdom of obedience to Allah SWT. In this Eid al-Adha we also get the wisdom to share, InshaAllah with that sacrifice we can be pleased by Allah.”
“Hopefully our presence here, especially the academic community of the University of Mataram, let us continue to sacrifice. Sacrifice our time, energy, and thoughts to build the University of Mataram. Let’s continue to sincerely carry out our obligations while we are given life. Hopefully this life will be blessed by the Almighty,” Prof. Bambang concluded.
