Unram Job Fair 2024: Bridging Students, Alumni, and the Industrial World
Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) through the Academic Service Unit for Counseling and Career Guidance (UPA BKPK) held Job Fair 2024 in order to bridging students and alumni in preparing career paths to enter the world of work. This event took place for 2 days, on 11-12 October 2024 at the M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium, Unram.
This job fair event had high enthusiasm which was attended by 1300 participants from among Unram students and alumni. There were 30 companies both local and national scale that participated as partners in this Job Fair.
Chairman of the Job Fair 2024 Committee, Dr. Rachman Maulana Kafrawi, S.H., M.H. in his speech said that this Job Fair is a routine activity every year organised by UPA BKPK which this time collaborates with BEM Unram and UKM Argument. He conveyed the purpose of this event to facilitate the industrial world in finding qualified human resources and facilitate Unram students and alumni in finding jobs according to their potential interests and talents.
“We hope that this Job Fair can provide benefits, especially for students and alumni of the University of Mataram to get opportunities to various well-known companies so that they can increase the absorption of Unram graduates in the world of work,” he said.
Chairman of UPA BKPK Unram, apt. Yoga Dwi Saputra, S.Farm., M.Pharm.Sci., in his speech stated that this event could be maximally utilised by Unram students and alumni to get information related to available job vacancies. In addition, it is hoped that this job fair can be a way to determine the future career path.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, gave a speech and opened the Job Fair 2024 event. In her speech, Prof. Nana explained that Job Fair can be one of the boosters to spur Unram to become a superior university with the number of graduates absorbed in the world of work in a short time and get a decent job.
“Through this Job Fair, it is hoped that Unram’s presence can contribute to overcoming labour problems, namely reducing the unemployment rate in NTB. Of course, in this case Unram needs to work together with related agencies and other universities in NTB,” said Prof Nana.
This event is expected to continue to be held annually with increasing company partners so that it can be a bridge between Unram students and alumni with the world of work to achieve career success in the future.
