International Academic Synergy: Unram Collaborates with Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and NUS
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Office of International Affairs of the University of Mataram (KUI Unram) held a cooperation initiation and public lecture from Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and was coupled with a mini symposium (International Short Course “The REx: Roots to Reefs”) from Unram’s Marine Science Study Program and the National University of Singapore.
The activity held on Thursday, January 9, 2025 was attended by several delegations of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan students, National University of Singapore, and Unram students.
Located in the Senate Conference Room, Rectorate of Unram, the visit of foreign students was warmly welcomed by the Vice Rector for Planning, Cooperation, and Information Systems, Prof. Akmaluddin, S.T., M.Sc. (Eng.), Ph.D.; along with other Unram leaders.
In his speech, Prof. Akmaluddin said that the presence of this international delegation is an important momentum to strengthen academic and cultural collaboration. “Lombok, with its stunning natural beauty, is where our humble university is located. We hope to provide a warm and memorable experience, and strengthen our friendship and collaboration.”
In addition, he also reflected on Unram’s long journey since its establishment on October 1, 1962. “For more than six decades, we have been committed to providing quality education, developing research, and fostering a diverse academic community. We continue to build international classes in each faculty to create globally competitive students.”
Prof. Akmaluddin concluded his remarks by inviting all attendees to use this moment as the first step in creating a brighter and more connected future. “Let us work together to create closer and more meaningful collaborations, for the sake of mutual progress,” he concluded.
