Unram Encourages Strengthening Financial, Infrastructure, and Human Resources

Mataram, University of Mataram – University of Mataram (Unram) held a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Rectorate Field as part of a routine agenda involving all employees and staff in each of Unram’s faculties and units. The activity, which was held on Monday, February 3, 2025, aims to evaluate achievements and discuss future university development strategies.
Vice Rector II for Finance and General Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd., conveyed several main points that became the focus of discussion including finance, infrastructure, and strengthening Human Resources (HR). It was conveyed that throughout 2024, Unram has experienced rapid progress, especially in financial and infrastructure aspects. This is evidenced by the presence of various new facilities that support academic activities and campus operations.
“Thanks to the guidance and cooperation of all of us, in 2024 the Unram budget achieved quite good achievements at the regional level and at the international level. In addition, related to infrastructure conditions, the Rector of Unram works hard to bring comfort to the workplace so that we can provide our best services in line with our respective duties and functions. The hope then is that let us utilize the available infrastructure and maintain and maintain it all properly,” he said.
Furthermore, challenges in HR development are still a major concern. He also emphasized that there must be a strategy implemented by the university in an effort to strengthen and develop human resources at Unram. The availability of adequate labor must be balanced with improving the quality of human resources. Therefore, efforts to improve HR competencies are a priority in future planning.
As part of the development strategy, Unram continues to be committed to implementing strategic approaches, one of them is through HR training in the field of digitalization. With this program, it is hoped that the entire academic community can master digital technology more effectively, so as to be able to carry out tasks and work optimally in this modern era.
“We have built a digitization-based system for services for both lecturers and students. In the near future, we will launch an integrated service unit that provides online and offline services. The Rector of Unram has also released a Decree (SK) to increase incentives for publications and others. This is expected to not only contribute to the strengthening of the institution, but also to your career. We hope that Head Lecturers and Professors will increase at Unram. This is an effort to present Unram as an internationally recognized university,” he added.
The flag raising ceremony was solemn and became an important moment for Unram in formulating strategic steps to realize an educational institution that is more advanced, qualified, and ready to face global challenges.
