Unram’s Communication Science Program Achieves Superior Accreditation

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Communication Science Study Program at the University of Mataram (Unram) has successfully achieved superior accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT). This superior accreditation was determined through Decree No. 6814/BAN-PT/Ak/S/VI/2025 on June 14, 2025 and has been published through the Online Higher Education Application System (SAPTO) and the BAN-PT website. This superior accreditation valid for five years or until June 14, 2030.

The success of the Communication Science Study Program in achieving a superior rating was obtained after going through a long process. Starting from the formation of the reaccreditation team, completion of documents, submission, field assessment, until finally the results are released. Submission of reaccreditation documents is conducted online through the SAPTO application on August 18, 2024 and received by BAN-PT on August 30, 2024.

Furthermore, two BAN-PT assessor teams conducted field assessments to the Unram Communication Science Study Program on May 25-27, 2025. They are Prof. Dr. Hafied Cangara, Ms.C (Hasanuddin University) and Assoc Prof. Dr. Rudianto, S.Sos, M.Si ( University of Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara).

“We prepared this accreditation process seriously involving all stakeholders including students, alumni, and partners. Finally, we succeeded in achieving Excellent accreditation today,” said the Head of Unram’s Communication Science Study Program, Dr. Agus Purbathin Hadi, M.Si. on June 15, 2025.

Dr. Agus Purbathin Hadi, M.Si hopes that this superior accreditation can be maintained and increased to the international accreditation level.

Students hope Communication Study Program Continues to Grow

The achievement of superior accreditation by the Communication Science Study Program was responded positively and proudly by Unram Communication Science students. “This achievement is not only a recognition of the quality of learning, but also proof of how the study program is committed to forming students who are critical, adaptive, and relevant to the needs of the times,” said Dixie Salsananda Adipraja.

Dixie believes this excellent accreditation is an opportunity for students to continue to grow. “This achievement is also in line with the current accreditation status of the University of Mataram, which has achieved Excellent accreditation. So we are even more confident that we are in the right place to learn and grow,” said the eighth-semester student.

“This achievement is an honor for us students. Hopefully it will be a new step towards even greater progress. Amin,” said fourth semester student, Muhammad Faiz Alghiffari.

Second semester student, M. Ikhsan Arif hopes that this superior accreditation achievement can motivate the study program to continue to innovate and make the best contribution to the world of education, especially within the scope of the Unram Communication Science Study Program. According to him, this extraordinary achievement is clear evidence of the dedication, hard work, and commitment of the entire academic community in maintaining the quality of education.

Other students expressed their pride in this accreditation. ” We are truly proud. Thank you for opening the way for us students. Finally we have many opportunities to participate in top programs,” said sixth semester student, Bq. Magfira Utami.

“It’s remarkable, all of us Communication Studies Program students are proud of the superior accreditation. Now we can enjoy the era of superior accreditation,” said Aprianto.

Students also expressed their gratitude to all the teams that helped achieve this. “Thank you. To you and all the other lecturers who have worked on superior accreditation for our study program. For all those involved, thank you,” said Pipin Hela Rahmayanti.

“Alhamdulillah. A huge gratitude to the lecturers and staff of the University of Mataram, especially the Communication Science Study Program, for their dedication and hard work to achieve Superior accreditation,” said Iftita Annisa.

One of the students who just graduated a few days ago admitted that the Communication Science Study Program deserves superior accreditation. “Communication Science Study Program deserves to have superior accreditation because the courses, the quality of lecturers and student services of the study program, and others are excellent. I feel proud to be an alumni of the Communication Science Study Program,” said Sri Amelia Rizki, a student who participated in the graduation on June 4, 2025.
