Mataram, University of Mataram – On 17 September 2025, Communication Science students from the Faculty of Law, Social Sciences, and Political Science at the University of Mataram (FHISIP Unram) once again achieved outstanding success on the national stage. The team, consisting of Khadijah Baasitu Sholeha, Taqiyudin Nabani, and Sabrina Juanita Nitbani, successfully won first place in the National Educational Video Competition organised by Andalas University, Padang.

The competition featured participants from various universities in Indonesia with the theme “Healthy, Creative, and Achieving Generation for a Sustainable Future”. The Unram team presented an educational video titled “Together for the Earth”, which encourages the community to be more concerned about maintaining environmental cleanliness, starting from simple things such as sorting waste, reducing the use of single-use plastics, and preserving green open spaces.

The educational video, created by three fifth-semester students, is presented in a simple narrative style with attractive visuals and a communicative message that is easy to understand.

According to Taqiyudin Nabani, one of the team members, this success is inseparable from their solid teamwork and commitment to raising awareness about important issues for the community.

“Through this work, we want to emphasise that maintaining a healthy environment can start with small steps taken every day. Hopefully, this message can inspire the younger generation to be more concerned about environmental sustainability,” he said.

This achievement is proof that Communication Science students at FHISIP Unram are not only academically accomplished but also actively educate the community through creative works that bring real results.
