Mataram, University of Mataram – Rifky Akbar Utomo Putra, a student of the Informatics Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram (Unram), has successfully been selected as one of the Top 100 participants in the prestigious 2025 Google Student Ambassador (GSA) program. The program’s inauguration was held on September 29-30, 2025, in South Jakarta by Google Indonesia.

The Google Student Ambassador (GSA) program is an initiative by Google , aimed at cultivating students as young leaders and bridges between campuses and Google’s technology ecosystem. This year, the program was followed by more than 12,000 students throughout Indonesia, and only 800 people passed the selection process. Among them, only 100 of the best students had the opportunity to attend the inauguration event in Jakarta, one of them was Rifky.

During the event, participants were introduced to the role and contributions of GSA through a series of inspiring sessions, ranging from the inauguration ceremony and Gemini Experience Booth Activity to Google DeepMind Immersion and Google Office Tour. Through this series of activities, participants gained firsthand insight into the application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology, the work culture at Google, and the value of collaboration and innovation in the global digital ecosystem.

Rifky expressed his pride in representing Unram and competing at the national level alongside the best students from all over Indonesia.

“Being named one of Google’s Top 100 Student Ambassadors has been a valuable experience for me. I want to bring Google’s spirit of innovation and collaboration to campus,” he said.

Rifky’s achievement is proof that Unram students are capable of competing at the national and even global level, and demonstrates Unram’s commitment to producing a young generation that excels in technology and digital leadership.
