Mataram, University of Mataram – The Academic Support Unit (UPA) of the Integrated Laboratory of the University of Mataram (Unram) collaborated with Mairodi Training and BNSP to conduct a Training and Competency Certification programme for PLP/Laboratory Assistants/Technicians within the scope of Unram on Wednesday, 22 October 2025, located at Puri Indah Hotel & Conventions. This activity has two certification schemes, namely Hazardous Waste Storage Operator and Laboratory Technician.

The Head of the Integrated Laboratory, Eka Sunarwidhi Prasedya, S.Si., M.Sc., Ph.D., emphasised that this certification aims to strengthen the capacity of laboratory human resources to be professional and competitive. “This activity is to cultivate PLP personnel who are integrity-driven, competent, and nationally recognised. We hope participants engage in every process with focus, as this competency assessment requires dedication to be deemed competent,” he stated.

This activity is expected to be a strategic step to enhance laboratory service standards within Unram, while also fostering a safer, more modern, and higher-quality research environment. With certified laboratory personnel, Unram is optimistic that the quality of research and practical training will continue to improve in the future.
