National Seminar SADE 2025 Promotes Adaptive Schools in the Digital Era with Local Wisdom

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Primary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Mataram (FKIP Unram), successfully held the 2025 SADE National Seminar under the theme “Adaptive Schools through Digitalization and Local Wisdom Exploration.” The event took place on Saturday, 25 October 2025, at the FKIP Auditorium and was attended by hundreds of participants from universities and elementary schools across Indonesia.
The seminar was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Nunuk Suryani, M.Pd., Director General of Teachers and Education Personnel, signifying the national commitment to strengthening teacher competencies in the era of digital education.
In the main session, leading academics delivered visionary insights. Prof. Dr. Supriadi, M.Pd. from the Indonesia University of Education presented “Visualizing Mathematical Thinking Processes: Implementing Ethnomathematics in Learning,” followed by Dr. Dirgantara Wicaksono, M.Pd., MM. from Universitas Muhammadiyah Jakarta, who discussed “AI-Based Digital Learning Innovation in Elementary Schools.”
The session concluded with an inspiring presentation by Prof. Dr. Darmiany, M.Pd. from Unram on “Adaptive Schools from the Perspective of Student Development in the Era of Digitalization and Local Wisdom.”
The seminar continued with parallel presentations by 130 participants, consisting of students, lecturers, and education practitioners. They showcased research and innovations on curriculum development, digital learning, school information systems, and the integration of cultural values into elementary education.
Several notable topics included the development of web- and app-based School Information Systems (SIS), innovative digital teaching materials using Project-Based Learning, and ethnomathematics learning models rooted in Sasambo cultural values (Sasak, Samawa, Mbojo).
Seminar Chair, Dr. Moh. Irawan Zain, M.Pd. emphasized that SADE 2025 was not merely an academic forum, but also a platform for exploring ideas to shape future schools that are adaptive, digital, and grounded in local wisdom.
“We aim to bridge academic discourse with the real needs of elementary schools in this era of digital transformation. Local wisdom must remain the soul of our education,” he stated.
Meanwhile, Prof. Dr. Saprizal Hadisaputra, M.Sc., Vice Dean I of FKIP Unram, highlighted that this activity reflects FKIP Unram’s concrete role in preparing resilient, creative, and globally minded teachers without losing Indonesian cultural identity.
The 2025 SADE National Seminar successfully reaffirmed Unram’s position as a pioneer of adaptive education in Indonesia, where technology, tradition, and transformation meet to shape a brighter future for the nation’s education.
