Mataram, University of Mataram — The University of Mataram (Unram) held an Academic Achievement Guidance event for KIP Kuliah (KIP-K) recipient students for the year 2025, which took place in the Unram Senate Meeting Room on Friday (28/11). This event was held as part of the university’s commitment to improving the academic quality of KIP-K scholarship recipients and ensuring that the programme is on target and sustainable.

The event was officially opened with a speech by the Bureau Head of Academic and Student Affairs at Unram, Dwi Suswanto, S.Kom., M.M., who emphasised that KIP-K is intended for students who meet two main criteria, namely academic excellence and economic disadvantage. Since the new student selection stage, these two principles have been the basis for determining aid recipients, especially through the highly competitive SNBP and SNBT pathways.

In his speech, he emphasised the importance of guidance and evaluation. “Every year, the university is required to report on the progress of students receiving KIP Kuliah, including their latest semester GPA and cumulative GPA. This mentoring is important so that we can ensure real progress and the right strategies in improving students’ academic achievements,” he said.

This activity is expected to increase students’ understanding of their academic responsibilities and motivate them to maintain and improve their achievements every semester.
