Unram Graduates 937 Students in the December 2025 Commencement Ceremony

Mataram, University of Mataram — The University of Mataram (Unram) held its December Graduation Ceremony for the 2025/2026 Academic Year on Thursday, 4 December 2025, at the M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Auditorium. A total of 937 graduates were officially conferred degrees during the solemn ceremony, which was attended by university leaders, faculty deans, heads of institutions, lecturers, academic staff, and parents of graduates. This period’s graduates consist of 2 Doctoral, 46 Master’s, 879 Bachelor’s, and 10 Diploma recipients.
In his speech, Unram Rector Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., congratulated all graduates for their academic achievements after undergoing a long journey filled with challenges and learning experiences throughout their studies.
“Your years of hard work—facing various challenges, obstacles, joys, and hardships—have finally borne fruit today,” said the Rector. He also expressed appreciation to parents for entrusting their children’s education to Unram.
On this occasion, the Rector also highlighted various achievements made by Unram students. Throughout 2025, Unram students continued to earn distinctions at regional, national, and international levels across academic competitions, innovation, entrepreneurship, sports, and the arts—demonstrating the growing quality, creativity, and competitiveness of Unram’s young generation. These accomplishments reflect Unram’s steadfast commitment to nurturing outstanding and high-achieving students.
The Rector further outlined several major institutional achievements attained by Unram over the past four years, including:

An increase in international student enrollment from 10 students (2021) to 292 students (2025).

A rise in the number of Professors from 62 to 147.

Growth in the number of “Excellent” accredited study programs from 3 to 32, along with Unram’s attainment of an “Excellent” Institutional Accreditation.

2nd place nationally in the Procurement Governance Index (ITKP) for Public Universities under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology.

“Informatif” (Informative) rating in public information transparency for both 2023 and 2024.

1st Place among BLU Public Universities for budget absorption (99.71%) in 2024 and 2nd Place for budget performance.

Grade A in performance accountability (up from CC).

A total of 8 DIKTISAINTEK Awards from 2022–2024, consisting of 1 Gold Winner, 5 Bronze Winners, and 3 Silver Winners.
Addressing the graduates, the Rector emphasized that one’s career success is determined not only by GPA or alma mater but more importantly by personal qualities. “Success is not determined solely by your GPA, but by soft skills such as honesty, discipline, social intelligence, hard work, passion for your profession, strong leadership, and a competitive and creative personality,” he affirmed.
He also reminded the graduates to uphold the good name of their alma mater and to become agents of change within society through their contributions and innovations.
The ceremony concluded with words of gratitude to all lecturers, administrative staff, and stakeholders who have contributed to the implementation and advancement of education at Unram.
