BAN-PT Conducts On-Site Assessment for Unram’s Master of Tourism Planning Program

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Postgraduate School of the University of Mataram (Unram) carried out an on-site assessment for the Master of Tourism Planning Study Program. The assessment was conducted by the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BAN-PT) and took place over three days, from 5 to 7 December 2025, at the Unram Postgraduate Building.

The assessors present for this evaluation were Prof. Dr. Bhayu Rhama, S.T., MBA., Ph.D., and Dr. Syamsu Rijal, S.Sos., M.Pd. They explained that the visit aimed to verify and further examine accreditation documents, ensure alignment between the submitted reports and actual implementation, and evaluate the academic quality of the Master of Tourism Planning Study Program.

Unram Rector, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., expressed his appreciation for the assessor team’s visit and emphasized that the assessment process is an essential step in improving the quality of education at Unram.

“We warmly welcome this on-site assessment as part of our efforts to ensure that every study program at Unram operates under high-quality standards. The Master of Tourism Planning Program plays a strategic role in supporting sustainable tourism development in West Nusa Tenggara and the archipelagic regions of Indonesia. We remain committed to strengthening academic quality and curriculum relevance so that our graduates are well-prepared to meet industry needs,” the Rector stated.

He also expressed hope that the assessment would provide constructive recommendations to enhance governance, improve academic achievements, and strengthen the program’s national reputation.
