44th Anniversary of Unram’s Faculty of Teacher Training and Education: Strengthening Academic Synergy to Create Impact for the Nation

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at the University of Mataram successfully held the peak celebration of its 44th Dies Natalis on Saturday, 29 November 2025, at the parking area of Building A, FKIP Unram. Despite morning rainfall, the enthusiasm of the academic community remained undiminished. Lecturers, administrative staff, students, and alumni gathered and joined forces to enliven this annual celebration.

Carrying the theme “Synergy of the FKIP Academic Community: Spreading Knowledge, Cultivating Values, Creating Impact for the Nation,” the event began at 07.30 WITA with a Fun Run and Healthy Walk accompanied by traditional Gendang Beleq performances, followed by percussion shows, bazaars, and a cooking competition that added to the vibrant atmosphere.

Dean of FKIP Unram, Drs. Lalu Zulkifli, M.Si., Ph.D., emphasized in his remarks that Dies Natalis is not merely a celebration, but a moment to strengthen FKIP’s commitment as a leading force in education at both regional and national levels.

“This momentum is also a reaffirmation of FKIP’s commitment to improving educational quality, with 12 excellent study programs currently being prepared for international accreditation through ACQUIN as a strategic step toward enhancing global competitiveness,” stated the Dean in his speech.

He further noted that the synergy among lecturers, staff, students, and alumni forms a crucial foundation for advancing FKIP even further.

Rector of the University of Mataram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., who was present to officiate the peak event, expressed high appreciation for FKIP’s achievements and the spirit of togetherness reflected in this year’s celebration.

“FKIP has shown significant progress and has become one of the faculties contributing greatly to the development of the University of Mataram. The enthusiasm of the academic community today, despite the rain, is proof that FKIP possesses a strong spirit to continue producing future educators and innovators,” the Rector remarked.

Following the opening remarks, the event continued with the symbolic release of birds as a gesture of hope and renewed spirit for the 44th Dies Natalis. The procession was witnessed by hundreds of participants who filled the venue. Additionally, tokens of appreciation were presented to retired lecturers and staff, along with social assistance for a local nursing home — meaningful moments that colored this year’s celebration.

The event also featured the announcement and awarding of prizes for various competitions held beforehand, followed by the much-anticipated door prize drawing, offering major prizes such as bicycles and household appliances. The celebration concluded with entertainment sessions featuring artistic and musical performances by students, further uplifting the festive atmosphere until late afternoon.

The 44th Anniversary of FKIP Unram was not only a moment to reflect on the faculty’s long journey but also a testament to how the synergy of its academic community can generate positive energy and create a significant impact on the field of education.
