This assessment aims to ensure that the study program meets the quality standards set by the accreditation agency and is able to provide quality education for prospective surgical specialists.
Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.Sc., Ph.D. in his speech revealed that the ratio of surgical specialists in NTB is still relatively small.
“As we know that the number of our surgical specialists is quite small, the ratio is 0.008 per thousand population in NTB. In line with the remarks of the Rector of Unram, the Director of the NTB General Hospital expressed support regarding the accreditation assessment of the FKIK Unram Surgical Specialist Study Program in order to fulfill specialist doctors in NTB. “With the opening of the FKIK Unram Surgical Specialist Study Program, it can help in fulfilling the number of sub-specialists in NTB which is still relatively small. As a teaching hospital in terms of service fulfillment, we are greatly helped by the presence of students. Therefore, we support the accreditation field assessment of this surgical science specialist study program, hopefully the collaboration between Unram and RSUP NTB can continue to be well maintained, “she said.
LAM – PTKes assessor Dr. Nurcahya Setyawan, Sp. B Subsp BD (K) emphasized that the task of the assessor team is to observe and direct the study program to run as expected so that the fulfillment of increased accreditation can be achieved.

We will see directly how the input is, how the process is because what we do in this education must later be accounted for to the community. Our goal is to review and provide direction so that the study program can run as expected. So that in the upcoming assessment process the things needed in fulfilling accreditation can be achieved. Therefore, the assessment process will be conducted by the assembly, we only collect data and then we will inform you,” he explained.
