The Cahaya Pintar Scholarship Program is an initiative of YBM PLN designed to provide financial assistance and developmental support to students who possess strong potential but face economic limitations. YBM PLN’s commitment is reflected in its collaboration with 42 universities across Indonesia, a number that will continue to grow as the foundation expands its efforts to support and empower the next generation of educated youth.
Mirza, Head of the Empowerment Division of YBM PLN Central, explained the background behind the establishment of YBM and its mission to award scholarships as a form of appreciation for students who remain determined to pursue their education despite various challenges.
“The Cahaya Pintar Scholarship Program was established from an awareness that education is a long-term investment capable of transforming lives, elevating family welfare, and contributing to national progress. We believe that students with strong potential can be significantly supported through this scholarship,” he concluded.
He further emphasized that the program is expected to create meaningful impact in improving educational quality. “This partnership is not limited to financial assistance. It also encompasses character development, mentorship, guidance, and additional opportunities within the scholarship program. We therefore hope to continue receiving feedback and support so that this initiative can benefit future generations,” he added.
Through this collaboration, the scholarship is expected to bring direct benefits to eligible Unram students. It also aims to strengthen synergy and support broader efforts to advance the quality of education in Indonesia.
