BKPK Unram 2025 Mental Health Roadshow: Raising Awareness and Building P3LP Skills Among Students

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Academic Support Unit for Counseling and Career Development (UPA BKPK) at the University of Mataram successfully held the 2025 Mental Health Roadshow with the theme “When the World Is Fine, but I Am Not” on June 20, 2025.
The event was a collaborative effort with the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business (BEM FEB Unram) and the Youth Information and Counseling Center (PIK-M Unram), reflecting an active partnership to expand mental health education among students.
The activity, which took place in the FEB Unram Theater Room, was enthusiastically attended by participants from various faculties who are concerned and eager to deepen their understanding of mental health, especially Increasing Awareness of Mental Health and First Aid for Psychological Wounds (P3LP).
The event was officially opened by the Head of UPA BKPK at the University of Mataram, apt. Yoga Dwi Saputra, S.Farm., M.Pharm.Sci. In his opening remarks, he emphasized that mental health is an essential part of overall well-being.
“a lot of us might look fine on the outside, but are actually struggling on the inside. This roadshow is here to create a safe space for anyone who needs it to better understand and provide first aid for psychological wounds,” said Yoga.
He also expressed his appreciation and gratitude to the Dean of FEB Unram for the support and facilities that helped make the event a success.

The core session of the event was led by Efan Yudha Winata, M.Psi., Psychologist, who delivered a comprehensive presentation on mental health and psychological first aid (P3LP). In his presentation, Efan explained that mental health is a state of well-being in which individuals are able to recognize their own potential, manage stress effectively, adapt to changes, and contribute positively to their surroundings.
Efan also discussed various aspects of psychological wounds, including both internal and external triggers, levels of severity, and steps for providing first aid whether for themselves or for helping others. He further elaborated on active communication methods as the foundation of P3LP, including techniques such as paraphrasing for reflection, clarification, and offering full acceptance without assumptions.
On this occasion, participants were invited to practice various relaxation methods, ranging from Square Breathing to Progressive Muscle Relaxation and the “Butterfly Hug” method. These various exercises can be used to reduce stress levels, quell anxiety, and help participants manage daily pressures more calmly and wisely.
This activity received a positive response from the participants consisting of students and alumni of the University of Mataram. Various questions were asked regarding the application of the P3LP method, signs of emotional stabilization needs, and the first steps in responding to personal and other mental health needs.
This roadshow not only provides education, but also emphasizes the commitment of UPA BKPK Universitas Mataram in creating an inclusive, caring and mentally healthy academic environment. Through this kind of training and education, it is hoped that participants can grow as agents of change for themselves, their families, and the surrounding environment – in order to build a generation that is mentally strong and ready to face various life challenges.
