Business Management Unit of University of Siliwangi Conducts Benchmarking Visit to Unram

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Business Management Unit (BPU) of University of Siliwangi conducted a benchmarking visit to BPU of University of Mataram (Unram) on Friday, 29 August 2025 at the Rector’s Meeting Room, Unram Rectorate Building.

This visit was welcomed directly by the Bureau Head of Finance and General Affairs (BKU) of Unram, H. Aman, S.P., M.M., together with the BPU Unram team. In his speech, he explained that Unram currently has a number of business units managed by BPU, such as the Business Center, Food Court, Unram Mart, Unram Press, Guest House, drinking water production, Sport Center, and others.

“We continue to develop these business units to support the increase in university revenue, so that Unram can eventually submit its application for PTN-BH status,” explained Aman.

The Bureau Head of General and Finance Affairs of the University of Siliwangi, Sujana, revealed that the purpose of the visit was to conduct a study on the management of the BPU. “I am very impressed; it turns out that we have come to the right place to learn. We still have a lot of work to do, both in terms of business potential and sectors that need to be developed. The first is, of course, to strengthen our relationship, and the second is to learn from Unram,” he said.

He added that his party also wanted to know the regulations applied by Unram in managing business units so that they could be used as a reference for their university . “Hopefully, after returning from this benchmarking, we can draft regulations and map out the potential that can be developed better,” he added.

Closing the benchmarking activity, the Head of BPU Unram, Sarkawi, S.H., M.H., expressed his appreciation for the visit. According to him, cooperation and sharing experiences between universities are important steps to strengthen the management of business units. “Hopefully, this relationship can continue in the future, and the results of today’s discussion can provide tangible benefits for the development of BPU at both universities,” he said.
