Celebrating Its 63rd Dies Natalis, Unram Holds a Series of Sports Competitions

Mataram, University of Mataram — The University of Mataram (Unram) officially kicked off a series of sports competitions in celebration of its 63rd Dies Natalis at the Unram Sport Center on Monday (October 20). The opening event featured a fun futsal match and was attended by members of Unram’s academic community.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Rector of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sukardi, S.Pd., M.Pd, who emphasized the importance of togetherness and the spirit of joy throughout the series of sport activities.
“Happiness comes when we are giving the best for Unram. In whatever position we are, what matters is the spirit of togetherness and positive contribution,” he said.
Prof. Sukardi further explained that this annual sporting event serves as an opportunity to strengthen friendship between lecturers, educational staff, and students, and also expressed his appreciation to the committee and sports coordinators who played an active role in the success of the Dies Natalis event.
“Even those who have retired remain passionate as sports coordinators. This is a wonderful form of joy,” he added.
The 63rd Dies Natalis sports event featured various competitions, including futsal, badminton, DWP volleyball, karaoke competitions, and other competitions specifically for students. Through this event, Unram hopes to foster sportsmanship and strengthen solidarity within the campus community.
