Mataram, University of Mataram – Communication Science students from the University of Mataram (Unram) have once again succeeded in achieving national recognition. Nizar Alhadits and his team won a gold medal in the food category and second place overall in all categories at the National Essay Competition held by the Education, Youth, and Sports Agency (Disdikpora) of West Manggarai Regency and Nusantara Muda in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara.

This prestigious event was attended by participants from various regions in Indonesia with diverse themes, one of them concerns the sub-theme of food. The team consisting of Nizar Alhadits (Communication Science Study Program), Muhammad Dicky Subagia (Sociology Study Program), Hendru Elban Anshori (Accounting Study Program), Riyad Wizzam (Agribusiness Program), and Jaliya Ahdari (Food Program) demonstrated innovative ideas and originality in their essays, leading them to win an award in the food category and a second place overall.

For his achievement, Nizar expressed his gratitude and humility. “I am grateful for the results I have achieved. For me, this achievement is not the end of the process, but about continuing to be humble, learning more deeply, and continuing to hone whatever skills we have. I also remember that this success is inseparable from the prayers and blessings of my parents, as well as the support of my friends around me,” he said.

This achievement is expected to inspire the younger generation, especially Unram students, to continue their creativity, compete, and develop their potential in various fields of study.
