DWP Unram Celebrates the National Children’s Day with Competitions
Mataram, University of Mataram – Dharma Wanita Persatuan University of Mataram (DWP Unram) celebrated the peak of National Children’s Day with the theme “ Excellent and Competitive Generation with a Million Expressions” which took place lively at the Auditorium M. Yusuf Abu Bakar Unram. The event was attended by a number of kindergarten and elementary school children who enthusiastically participated in various competitions.
The event which took place on Saturday (27/7) featured three main competitions, including English language competitions (story telling and spelling bee), fashion show competitions, and coloring competitions. Each competition was designed to explore the potential and creativity of children as well as to foster self-confidence and competitiveness from an early age.
In the English competition, participants showed their skills in story telling and spelling bee. This competition not only sharpens the children’s English skills but also trains their courage to perform in public.
The fashion show competition featured a variety of creative outfits worn by the participants. The children confidently walked on stage, shows their unique styles and expressions. This competition provided an opportunity for the children to showcase their talents in fashion and boost their self-confidence.
The coloring competition was also one of the most popular activities. Where children express their imagination through beautiful colors. This competition aims to stimulate children’s creativity and accuracy in creating works of art.
Head of DWP Unram, Mrs. Agustin Rahmawati Bambang Hari Kusumo, in her speech said that this activity was initiated by DWP Unram as a form of commitment in supporting the development of children as the next generation of a superior and competitive nation.
“We hope that through this event, children can discover and develop their potential, as well as gain valuable experience in a fun atmosphere,” she said.
The peak celebration of National Children’s Day at Unram received high appreciation from the parents and teachers who attended. They hope that similar activities can continue to be held in the future to support the development of children in various aspects.
The event was closed with the awarding of prizes to the winners of the competition. Unram once again succeeded in organizing activities that were not only entertaining but also educational and inspiring for the younger generation, especially children.
