Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram signed a Cooperation Agreement and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with Universitas Bumigora (UBG) on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the Rector’s Meeting Room. This collaboration focuses on the admission of new students to the Medical Study Program.

The agreement was officially signed by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the University of Mataram, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, and the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UBG, Dr. Khasnur Hidjah, S.Kom., MCS. The signing was witnessed by the Head of the Academic and Student Affairs Bureau at the University of Mataram, the Unram’s cooperation team, and the delegation from UBG.

Prof. Sitti Hilyana stated that the collaboration is part of an effort to expand access to medical education in a broader and more inclusive manner. “We hope that this synergy with UBG will benefit society, particularly in meeting the demand for qualified medical professionals in NTB and surrounding regions,” she said.

Echoing this statement, Dr. Khasnur Hidjah emphasized the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in enhancing graduates’ competitiveness. “We believe this partnership is not only about student admissions, but also about building sustainable and mutually supportive education quality,” she remarked.

In addition to UBG, Unram has also established similar partnerships with two other universities: Al-Azhar Islamic University and the University of Muhammadiyah Mataram. Through this scheme, prospective students who meet the passing grade for the Medical Program via Unram’s Mandiri Admission Track but are not admitted due to quota limitations now have the opportunity to continue their medical studies at Unram’s partner institutions.

Applicants interested in enrolling in UBG’s Medical Program will be exempted from registration fees and academic selection tests.
