FT Unram Hosts The 3rd MIMSE 2024 and The 8th EFEA 2024 Exploring Smart Innovations in Engineering and Science for a Sustainable Future
Mataram, University of Mataram – Faculty of Engineering, University of Mataram (FT Unram) successfully hosted The 3rd Mandalika International Multi-Conference on Science and Engineering (MIMSE) and The 8th International Conference on Environment Friendly Energies and Applications (EFEA) on November 4-5, 2024 in Lombok. With the theme “Smart Innovation in Engineering and Science for a Sustainable Future,” this conference invites researchers from around the world to discuss the role of smart innovation in engineering and science in facing future sustainability challenges.
The conference is the result of FT Unram’s collaboration with a number of well-known international institutions, including Northumbria University, University of Aberdeen, Universite de Limoges, Esa Unggul University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Lambung Mangkurat University, and Binus University. MIMSE 2024 itself covers various engineering fields such as Civil, Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical, Informatics, Industrial, and Engineering Sciences, while EFEA 2024 focuses on green energy and sustainable energy systems.
Prof. Krishna Busawon as General Chair of EFEA 2024 in his speech explained that the conference was first held in 2010 to support researchers from various developing countries. “Many researchers in developing countries have excellent work but lack funds and resources, and the results of their research are not widely disseminated,” said Prof. Busawon.
Prof. Busawon further revealed that this conference is a place to build relationships with other countries, build networks, and explore other things that can be done.
In addition, Prof. Akmaluddin, S.T., M.Sc.Eng, Ph.D., representing the Rector of Unram in his speech expressed his pride for the implementation of this international conference. “This conference is very relevant to global changes that demand smart innovation in engineering and science to achieve a sustainable future. Unram is committed to become a globally competitive institution, and actively contribute to the development and welfare of society,” said Prof. Akmaluddin.
Furthermore, Prof. Akmaluddin also explained that Unram continues to strengthen international partnerships to support academic and research excellence. By implementing a special scheme for international collaboration, Unram is committed to play an active role in creating sustainability solutions.
The conference featured a variety of interesting topics in engineering and energy, with influential keynote speakers, such as:
