ICOMDT Conference Marks a Strategic Collaboration Milestone between Unram and UMT

Mataram, University of Mataram – In order to improve the quality of international collaboration in the field of research and academic development, the University of Mataram (Unram) hosted the International Conference on Computational Mathematics & Digital Technology 2025 (ICOMDT), a conference held in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). The event took place for two days, November 24–25, 2025, at the Senate Conference Room of Unram.
The Rector of Unram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D, enthusiastically expressed his gratitude and honor for UMT’s commitment and trust to Unram in hosting this conference.
“We express our high appreciation to UMT for this conference being held at Unram, Lombok Island. The topic of computational mathematics and digital technology, which is the focus of this conference, has an increasingly tangible impact on various aspects of modern life, making in-depth discussion very important and relevant,” said the Rector of Unram.
In addition, the Rector of Unram expressed his deep appreciation to the four speakers and all the guests who attended the conference.
“We also appreciate the speakers and all the guests who joined this conference. We hope that this opportunity will be maximized, not only to gain knowledge, but also to enjoy the experience of being on the island of Lombok by visiting iconic destinations,” he added.
Prof. Ts. Dr. Noor Maizura Mohamad Noor, representative of UMT and speaker, gave a speech and opened the event, expressing his gratitude and hope that this event would inspire many people in the future.
“We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all parties, especially Unram, for their efforts. This conference also serves as a celebration of collaboration, inspiring us to strive for a better and more innovative future,” said Prof. Maizura.
This conference features four expert speakers in their respective fields, who come from four different countries. Prof. Abdellah Salhi, University of Essex, United Kingdom; Prof. Emeritus Youngjo Lee, Seoul National University (SNU), South Korea; Prof. Hiroyuki Iida, Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST); and Prof. Ts. Dr. Noor Maizura Mohamad Noor, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), Malaysia.
During the conference, Unram and UMT signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) containing agreements on cooperation related to research program development, scientific information exchange, student exchange, and programs that support inter-campus education programs.
This valuable opportunity was also used to invite all guests to visit the Laboratory at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Unram.
Through the organization of this conference, Unram reaffirms its commitment to maintaining educational quality and strengthening strategic collaboration, both at the national and international levels. ICOMDT 2025 is expected to open up broader collaboration opportunities and serve as a catalyst in strengthening Unram’s position as a leading and globally competitive university.
