Job & Training Center UPT. BKPK Mataram University Holds Career Week, Prepares Students to Face the World of Career
Mataram, Mataram University – Job & Training Center Technical Implementation Unit for Counseling Guidance and Career Coaching Universitas Mataram (UPT. BKPK Unram) together with the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Mataram University held Career Week: the preparation for Entering the World of Career in the Theater Room Building C, FEB Unram for two days from Wednesday (7/6) to Thursday (8/6).
The Head of the Department of Accounting FEB Unram, Baiq Anggun Hilendri Lestari, SE., M.Si., Ak., CA revealed that the activity was carried out in order to prepare FEB Unram students who will take judicium and master degree students to enter the world of career.
“There are many alumni’s problems when applying for jobs with zero results. From here UPT Job & Training Center, BKPK is here to solve these problems, such as how to make a CV, how to look and dressed up, manner during the interview test. Everything will be explained through this activity,” explained Anggun.
The Head of Accounting FEB Unram hopes that through this preparation to face the future careers, this program will be able to bring fruitful outcome to all Unram students.
“Hopefully you will get a job after approximately 6 months of challenging life, which is also our way to improve Mataram University’s Main Performance Indicators (IKU), so that this university is more advanced,” she said.
Dr. Ihsan Ro’is, M.Si. as Dean of FEB Unram said, as a faculty that is in great demand by the public, FEB graduates must also be an interest for many companies.
“The success of all of you is not only determined by us, but also determined by yourself. Your success is our success as well,” he said.
To all students, the Dean of FEB hopes that after they graduate from The University of Mataram, they will get a position or career that is in accordance with what is expected.
The first day (7/6) of “Career Week” presented four speakers, namely Apt. Yoga Dwi Saputra S.Pharm., M.Pharm. from UPT. BKPK provided socialization related to Job & Training Center services; President Director of PT. Bank NTB Syariah presented the Introduction to the World of Career.
Furthermore, Nur Aida Tara, Ph.D. presented focused on how to make a CV, Application Letter, and Motivation Letter for Scholarships/Continuing Studies. At the end, material related to Soft Skills and Job Interview Hack were reviewed by Nur Indah Agustini, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist.
“This Job & Training Center service is free for all Unram students and alumni. So we hope that this service can help the students and alumni of the University of Mataram to get job information and train them before entering the world of career,” Yoga said.
The second day (8/6) was filled with materials on how to dress up during job interviews and job interview practice by the UPT team BKPK of the University of Mataram. At the end of the Career Week activity, the agenda was filled by a performance class by the Wardah team.
