Mataram, University of Mataram – The Diploma in Accounting Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Mataram (FEB Unram), underwent a field assessment conducted by the Institute of Accreditation for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting Programs (LAMEMBA) on Thursday, June 19, 2025, as part of its study program accreditation process.

Two assessors from the Institute of Accreditation for Economics, Management, Business, and Accounting Programs were present for the assessment: Dr. Yeni Carolina, S.E., M.Si., and Arthaingan H. Mutiha, S.E., M.Ak., CA. The activity served as a key opportunity to capture the actual conditions of higher education implementation in the Diploma in Accounting Program at FEB Unram.

In her remarks, Dr. Yeni Carolina emphasized that the assessment process is not merely an administrative formality but an important moment for conducting a comprehensive evaluation of higher education quality.

“LAMEMBA is not here just to check off administrative requirements, but to observe what has truly been done to improve the quality of higher education. The ultimate goal isn’t just to earn superior accreditation status, but to use this process as a reflection and an opportunity for continuous improvement,” she explained.

The assessors also expressed their appreciation for various achievements at the University of Mataram, particularly at the faculty level. One notable highlight was the presence of nine full professors at FEB Unram, which serves as a strong indicator of academic excellence and high-quality institutional development.

The Rector of the University of Mataram, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., also took part in the forum, presenting the university’s strategic direction for future development. Currently, Unram is actively promoting four key programs, including:

  1. The acceleration of achieving superior accreditation,

  2. Acceleration of the achievement of Key Performance Indicators,

  3. The transformation from a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU) to a Legal Entity State University (PTN-BH), and

  4. The realization of a World Class University, marked by the establishment of international classes in several study programs.

Unram’s budget performance also received positive recognition, as the university successfully constructed two new buildings independently without any additional external funding through carefully measured efficiency.

This field assessment reflects the shared commitment between higher education institutions and accreditation agencies to continuously improve educational quality in a sustainable manner. It is hoped that the results of this assessment will serve as a foundation for the continued development of FEB Unram’s Diploma in Accounting Program, in producing graduates who are excellent, adaptive, and highly competitive in the global era.
