Mataram, University of Mataram – The Leadership of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan at the University of Mataram (DWP Unram) was officially inaugurated by the Chair of the Dharma Wanita Persatuan of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, through a Zoom Meeting. The event encompassed the inauguration of the leadership of DWP at Public Universities (PTN) and Higher Education Service Institutions (LLDikti) across Indonesia for the 2024–2025 term of service.

In her remarks, the Chair of DWP Kemdiktisaintek, Mrs. Indah Togar Victoria Simatupang, explained that the inauguration was attended by 90 DWPs from PTNs and LLDiktis throughout Indonesia, stretching from Sabang to Merauke, comprising a total of 3,601 officials who play an important role in advancing the nation.

“This inauguration serves to reaffirm responsibility and trust, strengthen synergy and collaboration, enhance capacity and professionalism, consolidate work programs, reinforce social roles and exemplary conduct, as well as elevate the image and dignity of the organization in advancing toward the vision of a Golden Indonesia 2045,” she stated.

Mrs. Indah further emphasized that although DWP is non-structural in nature, it plays a highly strategic role in realizing the impactful vision of Kemdiktisaintek. DWP functions as a supporting force that strengthens the ecosystem of higher education, science, and technology through social, cultural, and women’s empowerment approaches.

“DWP plays a role in fostering a family environment among state civil apparatus (ASN) that supports work ethic, integrity, and a spirit of public service. DWP can also contribute to encouraging women to actively engage in education, health, and entrepreneurship through trainings, seminars, and social activities,” she remarked.

The Chair of DWP Kemdiktisaintek also noted that preparations are underway for the inauguration of the second batch of DWP leadership, scheduled for December 2025, as several DWP PTN and LLDikti leadership members were unable to take part in the current inauguration.

In addition, the Chair of DWP Unram, Mrs. Agustin Rahmawati Bambang Hari Kusumo, expressed that the inauguration serves as a momentum to strengthen the role of DWP Unram in supporting social activities, education, and women’s empowerment within the university community. She emphasized the importance of synergy among members in realizing programs that benefit society while also fostering harmonious and productive families among state civil servants (ASN).

“Through a spirit of collaboration and dedication, DWP Unram is committed to becoming a platform for women’s empowerment that contributes positively to both the university and the surrounding community,” she stated.

The inauguration ceremony was also accompanied by an inspiring seminar designed to promote women’s well-being. The seminar carried the theme “Recognize Yourself, Strengthen Your Heart, Become an Empowered Woman.”
