Lecturers from Shangrao Normal University, China Visit Unram Mandarin Centre
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Rector of University of Mataram (Unram), Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D. received a visit from two lecturers of Shangrao Normal University, China on Monday (4/3) in the Unram Rector’s Room. On this occasion, the Rector of Unram also brought representatives of Shangrao Normal University to visit Unram’s Mandarin Centre located in the Unram library building.
The visit of two lecturers of Shangrao Normal University is the second visit to carry out several agendas at Unram for the next few months. The Rector of Unram, Prof. Bambang, said that for the next 6 months, the Shangrao Normal University lecturers will teach Mandarin, international service, and also conduct research at Unram.
“The arrival of two lecturers from Shangrao Normal University, China is for teaching. Well, the two people who teach Mandarin will teach for 6 months in D3 Tourism. They as international representatives also do community service in our place, later the topics of community service will be agreed upon. There is also research that they will do,” he said.
One of the representatives of Shangrao Normal University, Bào Yú expressed his happiness when he first set foot in Lombok and was impressed by the hospitality of Unram students and staff.
“While still on the plane, we could feel the beauty of Lombok. When I arrived at University of Mataram, I thought it was a vibrant university. Very friendly, very beautiful. The staff and students are also very enthusiastic. I think this is a place full of wisdom,” he said in Mandarin.
With China’s economic potential, it is hoped that this cooperation can provide convenience for both parties in utilising this potential and Unram can be directly involved in all processes by learning and mastering Mandarin.
