LPMPP Unram Holds Workshop to Finalize Quality Assurance and Learning Development Documents

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) of the University of Mataram (Unram) held a workshop to finalize documents on quality assurance and learning development as part of efforts to strengthen the direction of academic policy and improve the quality of learning within the university. The activity was conducted over two days from March 11–12, 2026, at the Golden Palace Hotel.
In her remarks, the Head of LPMPP Unram, Dr. Ir. Sitti Latifah, M.For.Sc., stated that the activity aimed to align the institution’s steps and work programs with the future policy direction of the university leadership.
“We want to hear guidance on how LPMPP should move forward, so that everyone working here understands the Rector’s policy direction and knows where those policies will lead,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Rector of Unram, Prof. Dr. Sukardi, M.Pd., emphasized the importance of transforming toward impact-oriented academics as the main focus of educational development at the university.
“We must transform toward impact-oriented academics. Our focus is on how to produce graduates who are competitive,” said the Rector.
According to him, the learning process in higher education must be able to generate real impact, both for students and for society. Therefore, a project-based learning approach should continue to be developed in the learning process.
This method is considered effective in training students to think at higher levels and in building their ability to solve various problems collaboratively.
Prof. Sukardi also emphasized that LPMPP plays an important role in formulating guidelines for impact-oriented learning that can serve as a reference for all study programs.
“We must have clear guidelines on how impact-oriented learning is implemented. We cannot work individually, but rather like an orchestra that solves problems from various disciplines,” he explained.
In addition, Unram also encourages the involvement of master’s (S2) students as tutors for undergraduate (S1) students to strengthen the learning process and enhance the quality of academic mentoring.
Through this workshop, it is expected that the finalized quality assurance and learning development documents will serve as strategic guidelines to support a more innovative, collaborative, and impactful learning transformation at Unram.
