LPPM Unram Hand Over the Results of the Review of Research and Community Service Proposals
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Institute for Research and Community Service of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) held a Handover Procession of the Results of the Review of Research Proposals and Community Service (PKM). This activity took place in the LPPM Main Conference Room attended by Deans / Deputy Deans for Academic Affairs at the University of Mataram on Friday (26/1).
The meeting was attended by Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr. as the Head of LPPM accompanied by the Secretary of LPPM Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, MP; Head of Research Center Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, M.Sc. (Eng)., Ph.D.; and Head of Community Service Center Dr. Ni Wayan Sri Suliartini, SP., MP.
Research and Service in general provide opportunities for researchers to develop knowledge, produce policies, find innovations in knowledge and technology with a variety of approaches and perspectives. Research can foster professional excellence, especially in educational institutions, especially higher education.
Research and service carried out by lecturers at Unram have been funded from various sources of funds. Although there are opportunities for research cooperation funded from various sources of funds, not all lecturers have the opportunity and ability to obtain these research funds. Therefore, Unram annually also provides funds sourced from DIPA BLU / General Service Agency (BLU / Non-Tax State Revenue) to support research activities carried out by lecturers.
Starting this activity Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr. as the Head of LPPM in his remarks, “In the acceptance of proposal proposals in 2024 there were 657 research proposals that had been reviewed and passed the passing grade as many as 645 proposals and as many as 8 proposals that did not pass the passing grade. As for the service proposals, the number of proposals is 448 that have been reviewed and there are 435 that pass the passing grade and 13 proposals that do not pass the passing grade”.
Not only that, the Professor of the Faculty of Agriculture reminded that, “The completion of research and service responsibilities has implications for institutional performance assessment, so that LPPM also provides facilitation in achieving research and service outcomes, including: National and International Seminars in the fields of Science and Technology and Soshum, as well as Sinta Edited Journals managed by LPPM to accommodate research outcomes, National Seminars on Community Service (PEPADU), Degree Talks and Service Journals managed by LPPM to accommodate the outcomes of community service activities. Research outputs originating from various Unram funding sources, all research is sought to produce manuscripts or manuscripts published in indexed seminar forums, national journals and indexed international journals both organized by LPPM and the respective Study Programs, IPR, and patents.”
Research and service have an important role in the implementation of the Tridharma of higher education in addition to Education and Teaching, therefore the implementation of research carried out at Unram is required to have an impact and influence on society for the better. The role of research results in the form of science and technology carried out by Unram is also expected to form living knowledge, namely knowledge that is not only within the campus environment, more than that can spread and be utilized by the community, so as to improve living standards while increasing the nation’s competitiveness.
The target of this research and community service financing is all Unram lecturers who have joined KPBI. For this reason, funding is expected to be effective and sustainable for the implementation of research and community service in accordance with the Unram and KPBI road map. Therefore, research must be based on scientific development as outlined and elaborated in the research road map of each KPBI, and the results are also expected to be published in scientific journals and as material for the process of disseminating science and technology to the community.
On this occasion, the Head of the Research Center Prof. Ir. Buan Anshari, M.Sc. (Eng)., Ph.D., emphasized, “In order to maintain the quality of the implementation of research and community service programs, it must refer to the quality assurance standards of research and community service at UNRAM in accordance with the established signs.”
In the final session of the activity, the Head of LPPM Unram invited all participants to maximize their role in improving Unram’s high quality research results and increasing global reputation. With collaboration between stakeholders, as one of the efforts to continue to develop as an academic lighthouse at the national and international levels.
