LPPM Unram Quarter Evaluation: New Strategies to Support Unram’s Vision of Excellence and Global Competitiveness Humanity

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Institute for Research and Community Service of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) has held a quarter evaluation workshop which took place on Wednesday, August 27, 2024 in the Main Conference Room of LPPM Unram. This workshop aims to evaluate achievements, introduce new schemes, and strategize to improve the university’s global competitiveness.

 

The workshop was led by the Head of LPPM Unram, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr., and attended by the Secretary of LPPM Unram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Gusti Putu Muliarta Aryana, MP, and staff.

 

Starting this activity, Prof. Sukartono in his speech said, “ The quarterly performance evaluation of LPPM Unram is a strategic step to ensure that every initiative and program we implement is in line with the university’s big vision of becoming a superior and globally competitive educational institution. In order to support Unram’s reputation both at the national and international levels, we are committed to expanding international cooperation networks and research and service areas.”

 

Prof. Sukartono explained that through increasing international cooperation, revising research guidelines, and collaborating with leading universities, LPPM Unram hopes to improve the quality and impact of each activities.

 

“We are also focused on ensuring that the output of the Community Service program can make a significant contribution to the assessment of Key Performance Indicators and Time Higher Education rankings,” said Prof. Sukartono.

 

The professor of the Faculty of Agriculture also emphasized, “These steps are part of our efforts to strengthen Unram’s position as a globally influential research and service center, and strengthen the integrity and achievements of the university in the world’s eyes. We believe that through continuous collaboration and innovation, Unram will be increasingly recognized and respected on the global stage, in line with our vision to become a globally competitive university.”

 

In this workshop, LPPM Unram introduced plans to add a new scheme in the international cooperation program designed to expand the network of research and service collaborations. This scheme aims to increase Unram’s visibility in the international arena, as well as facilitate knowledge exchange with educational and research institutions overseas.

 

One of the main focuses of this workshop is the revision of research and service guidelines that must be in line with Unram’s vision to become a globally competitive university. This revision includes adjustments to research and service strategies to be more relevant to global developments and improve the quality and impact of research results.

 

LPPM Unram also announced a new collaboration in community service with three leading universities, including Cordova University, Halu Oleo University, and Borneo University. This collaboration is expected to strengthen existing community service programs, as well as introduce new approaches in solving problems faced by the community.

 

The importance of strengthening national and international seminars is also highlighted as part of the strategy to increase lecturers’ national and international publications. Through this seminar, Unram is committed to increasing the visibility and impact of lecturers’ research and service in the global arena.

 

The workshop also discussed the importance of Community Service Outputs (KKN) that can be claimed in the assessment of Key Performance Indicators (IKU) and Time Higher Education (THE). This aims to ensure that each KKN activity not only provides direct benefits to the community, but can also improve Unram’s ranking at the national and international levels.

 

As part of the effort to document and disseminate innovations, LPPM Unram also announced the book publication that will contain the results of the innovation contests held previously. This book will be an important reference for various parties, including academics, researchers, and practitioners, regarding the various innovations that have been produced by Unram.

 

In order to improve the quality of LPPM, this workshop also emphasized the importance of strengthening the availability of data that supports all LPPM activities. Effective data management will assist in strategic planning, performance evaluation, and evidence-based decision making.

 

This workshop is expected to be a significant first step in strengthening Unram’s position as a globally competitive university and increasing Unram’s contribution in the field of research and community service.
