Mataram University Warmly Welcomed Lampung University Senate
Mataram, Mataram Uinversity – Mataram University warmly welcomed a Working Visit of the Senate Lampung University on Friday (16/6) morning in the Senate Meeting Room, Third Floor of Mataram University Rectorate Building.
As the chairman of the Mataram University Senate, Prof. Agil Al Idrus, M.Si welcomed the Senators from Lampung University when gave a welcome speech. “Welcome to this beautiful island of Lombok, welcome to Mataram University” he greeted.
On this occasion, Prof. Agil conveyed that the number of Senate at Mataram University are 60 people consisting of 5 representatives of each faculty. They are representatives of deans, lecturers and professors.
“Our Senate consists of 6 commissions, namely the Education Commission, Research Commission, Service Commission, Ethics Commission, Cooperation Commission, and the last one is the Planning and Governance Commission,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D as the Rector of Mataram University who was also attend the working visit explained that Mataram University continues to push for common goals and awaken a spirit that continues to stir.
“We are running in the wheels of the organization that are not alone, we really need the performance of the university senate, namely the performance between the senate, rectorate, and dean. Our performance is like running, running, keep running and jumping,” he said.
Furthermore, Prof. Bambang also explained that it is not only the acceleration of professors that always improved, but also the acceleration of head lecturers and starting to open the realm for international students and conducting student exchanges to supporting international internship student programs.
“We have made many efforts to make Mataram University to be a research-based campus which is internationally competitive,” he concluded.
The Chairman of the Senate of Lampung University, Prof. Dr. La Zakaria, S.Si., M.Si represented Lampung University delegation to directly express their gratitude to Mataram Unniversity team for accepting the arrival of the Lampung University Senate team.
“We want to learn a lot at Mataram University and also want to bring home knowledge for the development of our senate at lampung University. I also want to learn how senate Mataram Univeristy’s management, especially how to improve research, community service, conduct international research and how to improve the quality of international journals,” he said.
