Perception Alignment of KKN PMD Supervisors, Strengthening Roles and Collaboration for Community Service

Mataram, University of Mataram – The Research and Community Service Institute (LPPM) of the University of Mataram (Unram), in order to prepare for the 2025 Community Empowerment Learning Real Work Lecture (KKN PMD), held a Perception Alignment activity for Supervising Lecturers which took place through a Zoom Meeting on Friday, May 23, 2025.

This activity was attended by 177 activity supervisors from various faculties, spread across 177 villages, as a form of joint commitment to ensure the success of the multidisciplinary-based community service program.

On this occasion, the Head of the Center for Cooperation and KKN, Dr. Ir. Misbahuddin, ST, MT. IPU; Secretary of KKN Services, Suprayanti Martia Dewi, SP, M.Si; Head of the General Subdivision of LPPM, Roni Paslan, S.Adm.; and all Supervising Lectures.

Starting this activity, Dr. Misbahuddin in his remarks conveyed the importance of perception alignment as a strategic step to unite the vision, roles, and responsibilities of Supervising Lectures in assisting students in the field.

“KKN PMD is not only a place for student service, but also a place to actualize the role of lecturers in fostering, monitoring, and evaluating learning outcomes outside the campus,” he said.

On the occasion, Dr. Misbahuddin explained the mechanism for implementing KKN PMD in 2025, which carries the theme “Community Empowerment Based on Local Potential Towards Independent and Sustainable Villages”. He also emphasized the importance of active collaboration between Supervising Lectures, students, and village authorities as the key to the program’s success.

This includes the presentation of technical guidelines for the implementation of KKN PMD, the assessment system, student debriefing, and the ethical and social responsibility aspects that must be upheld during the activity. Lecturers were also given space to discuss suggestions and share field experiences, in order to strengthen the quality of this year’s KKN implementation.

With this activity, it is hoped that the Supervising Lecture will have a homogeneous understanding and be prepared to optimally carry out their mentoring duties, ensuring that KKN PMD Unram 2025 can run effectively, have a real impact, and bring benefits to the communities.
