Products of Research and Community Service of Unram Participates in Kenari Fashion Street Exhibition 2023
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Business and Innovation Incubator of the Research and Community Service Institute of the University of Mataram (Kubinov LPPM Unram) participated in the Kenari Fashion Street exhibition organized by the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Industry Office. This activity took place at the Sangkareang Public Field in Mataram on Saturday (11/18) morning.
Unram as one of the Center of Excellent in West Nusa Tenggara also took part in exhibiting the Research Innovation and Community Service products that not only came from lecturers but also students and alumni who were incorporated as tenants under the guidance of Kubinov Unram.
In his visit to the stand of Unram Innovation Products, the Head of the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Industry Office, Nuryati, SE, ME, expressed his gratitude for the contribution of LPPM Unram, “Alhamdulillah, I am very happy that Unram can attend and participate in enlivening this Kenari Fashion Street exhibition”.
He further emphasized that Unram is able to capture signals of future regional development, this can be seen from the products of research and service carried out by Unram lecturers, students and alumni who are very innovative and are expected in becoming competitive companies.
Business incubators have a role in helping downstream the products of research and community service carried out by students, lecturers and alumni. This concept is very relevant to be implemented nowadays as the direction and development of business incubators are aimed at assisting the down streaming of research and community service products in higher education.
The down streaming of research is in line with the scientific paradigm shift from “science for science” to “science for society”. The ratio of social problem solutions to science is none other than because science as “the greatest collective endeavor” of humans through research and innovation activities is believed to not only be able to provide theoretical-scientific solutions, which are merely for the benefit of the development and progress of science itself (epistemological, and ontological). Science as a product of research and innovation is also believed and proven to have practical-pragmatic benefits in order to improve the quality of life and progress of society (axiological).
Dr. Didy Ika Supryadi, SE, MM. as Kubinov Coordinator of LPPM Unram emphasized that the combination of fashion show with UMKM bazaar is a great idea. This activity can be a creative way to support local industries while providing a platform for local UMKM entrepreneurs in general and lecturers, students and alumni who are accommodated as Tenants of Kubinov Lppm Unram in particular to showcase their innovative work.
” As the Coordinator of Kubinov LPPM Unram, I would like to thank Disperin NTB for the opportunity to participate given to Kubinov LPPM Unram. In the future, I hope that activities like this must often be carried out by stakeholders to introduce and provide opportunities for our local products that are actually innovative and competitive,” concluded the young lecturer of FEB Unram.
