Rector of Unram Inaugurates Faculty of Engineering Leaders, Strengthening the University’s Superior Standing and Modern Transformation

Mataram, University of Mataram — The Rector of the University of Mataram (Unram), Prof. Ir. Bambang Hari Kusumo, M.Agr.St., Ph.D., officially inaugurated and administered the oath of office to the newly appointed leaders of the Faculty of Engineering (FT) on Friday (October 10) at the Senate Conference Room, Rectorate Building, Unram.
The inauguration ceremony marked the appointment of Prof. Dr.Eng. Ir. I Gede Pasek Suta Wijaya, S.T., M.T. as Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FT Unram for the 2025-2029 Period; I Kadek Wiratama, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D. as Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs of FT Unram for the 2025-2029 Period; Ir. Agustono Setiawan, S.T., M.Sc. as Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni of FT Unram for the 2025-2029 Period; and Syamsul Hirpan, S.T. as Head of the General Affairs Division of FT Unram for the 2025–2029 Period.
In his speech, the Rector of Unram expressed his appreciation for the achievements of the Faculty of Engineering, which continues to show significant progress, including an increase in superior accreditation for various study programs. Prof. Bambang also emphasized the importance of synergy and optimization of sharing resources on campus in order to strengthen the quality of learning and laboratories.
“We must maintain a spirit of togetherness and continue to strengthen the foundations of the university in order to be further prepared to face future challenges,” he said.
Prof. Bambang also conveyed that Unram is driving change towards becoming an integrated and adaptive modern university, modernizing its learning systems, strengthening lecturer efficiency, and updating teaching materials to ensure they are relevant to the needs of industry and society.
“We must ensure that the research and innovation produced are truly beneficial and have a real impact on society,” he said.
In the end of his speech, the Rector of Unram encouraged the new leaders to bring a collaborative spirit and high dedication in fulfilling their duties.
“Let’s build Unram together by placing the institutional interests above personal interests. With cooperation, innovation, and commitment, we can actualize Unram as a superior, modern university that has an impact on the nation’s progress,” he concluded.
