Regional Selection for ONMIPA 2025: University of Mataram Students Poised to Achieve Excellence

Mataram, University of Mataram – Twenty students from the University of Mataram (Unram), having completed the Technical Meeting and Try Out, advanced to the Regional Selection stage of the 2025 National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ONMIPA). The competition was held virtually at the UPA Pustik Laboratory of Unram over two days, Sunday–Monday, September 21–22, 2025.
The selection process was conducted in two sessions. The first session, held from 08:30 to 11:00 WITA, covered the Mathematics and Chemistry fields, while the second session, from 14:00 to 17:00 WITA, focused on Biology and Physics.
One of the participants, Ahmad Harjan Isnaini, a student of the Physics Education Study Program, expressed his pride in representing the University of Mataram alongside four fellow Physics Education students at the regional selection stage. He also shared his hopes of advancing to the national level.
“This is my first opportunity to represent Unram in such a prestigious competition. I truly hope to qualify for the national stage and bring honor to our university,” he stated.
The participation of Unram students in this regional selection is expected to serve as a stepping stone to greater achievements in the sciences. By advancing to the national stage, students will not only gain valuable experience but also strengthen the university’s reputation through outstanding accomplishments at ONMIPA 2025.
