Revision of Unram Research Master Plan Handbook: Strengthening the University’s Vision Towards Excellence and Global Competitiveness
Mataram, University of Mataram – The Research and Community Service Institute of the University of Mataram (LPPM Unram) held a meeting to prepare a Revision of the Research and Community Service Master Plan Handbook on Friday, October 4, 2024 in the LPPM Main Conference Room. This meeting aims to strengthen Unram’s commitment in supporting the university’s vision of becoming a superior and globally competitive institution.
In this activity, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, accompanied by the Head of LPPM, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sukartono, M.Agr. and staff were present.
In his speech, the Head of LPPM, Prof. Sukartono, said that, “The preparation of this master plan is a strategic step to integrate research and community service activities with the purpose of improving the quality of education and our contribution to society.”
During the meeting, participants discussed various issues, including the development of research based on local needs, sustainable utilization of natural resources, and increased cooperation with various parties, both national and international.
“With a clear master plan, we hope Unram can produce research and service that is not only of high quality, but also able to compete at the global level,” added Prof. Sukartono.
In an effort to realize Unram’s vision as a superior and globally competitive university, LPPM Unram is committed to updating the Research Master Plan which is not only in line with the institution’s strategic goals, but also responds to existing challenges, especially related to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana, as Vice Rector for Academic Affairs added, “The preparation of this Research Master Plan aims to ensure that every research and service carried out at Unram contributes to the development of science that is relevant and beneficial to society. We realize that current global challenges, such as climate change, food security, and social inequality, require attention and innovative solutions.”
Therefore, this Research Master Plan will direct the research focus of Unram to support the achievement of SDGs by integrating sustainability principles in every aspect of research and community service activities. The Vice Rector for Academic Affairs also encouraged the entire academic community to collaborate, innovate, and create a real positive impact on society.
“We believe that with a clear and directed Research Master Plan, the University of Mataram will be able to answer future challenges and make a significant contribution in realizing sustainable development at the local, national and global levels,” said Prof. Dr. Sitti Hilyana.
With this step, Unram hopes to contribute greater in the development of society and the environment, in line with the commitment to create innovative and sustainable solutions.
