SMA IT Bukit Qur’an Nusantara Strengthens Collaboration with the University of Mataram

Mataram, University of Mataram – The University of Mataram (Unram) welcomed an official visit from SMAIT Bukit Qur’an Nusantara Mataram on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Rector’s Conference Room. The visit served as a follow-up to earlier communications between the two institutions, with the aim of strengthening formal ties for collaboration in the field of education.
The SMAIT Bukit Qur’an Nusantara delegation expressed gratitude for Unram’s warm welcome and underscored the importance of building more structured communication to ensure smoother collaboration in the future.
The Principal of SMAIT Bukit Qur’an Nusantara, Akbar, who is also an alumnus of Unram’s Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (English Study Program), presented the school’s profile. Established in 2021, the school has already graduated its first cohort, with several alumni continuing their studies at Unram among others in the Faculty of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences as well as at universities outside Mataram.
The school’s flagship programs include Qur’an memorization (Tahfidz Qur’an) as its core, campus and institutional outing classes, and the Sekolah Kerja Nyata (SKN), a mini-variant of the university’s community service program (KKN). Through this visit, the school expressed its hope to build synergy with Unram, particularly in the areas of internships, SKN, and student admissions through the Tahfidz track.
Unram’s Academic and Student Affairs Bureau, Dwi Suswanto, S.Kom., M.M., also outlined potential areas for collaboration.
“There are several opportunities for partnership, including internship programs within university units, outreach on new student admission pathways, scholarships, and curriculum alignment that we can mutually agree upon,” he explained.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to sustained coordination, aimed at strengthening mutually beneficial collaboration for the advancement of education.
